Short Stories by Arthur C Clarke
Since I have last updated, I have read 2 short stories by Arthur C Clarke. The first story inheritance, was not about inheritance but about a pilot (who toke up his fathers old job (hence the name)) and his story when he had an accident involving his spaceship, but is told in a 'supernatural' way, but refers to what could happen in the modern world. The other story I read is called nightfall, which is considerably shorter then the other two I read, was about the devastated state of a town that have been nucleated prior to writing this story. How this story as written is unknown, as this town had no humans, no plants, no animals no life. But as the town described is Stratford upon Avon (referred from references in the description of the town), this story is a true Sci-fi as this didn't actually happen in the real world (Stratford still exists!), but is what would happen if it ever happened.
All the lights we cannot See
As well as reading the short stories, I am also continuing to read this novel. I am on the part in what is being imagined in the 2 characters minds (Warner and Maria (both being blind), and what they could see. Maria being able to see everything in color, in her head of the town, landmarks, without actually seeing it before prior to being blind and Warner seeing radio waves and 'voices' from the radio he mended(despite him being blind). I am almost done with this part, and most of the introductory of the two characters stories, before the war impacts the two. I am on chapter 22
